Late morning sun rose over the area as the final sweep of straw broom cleared the stone path. Minori's grand shrine occupied a hill overlooking Comfy City, its weathered torii gate and mossy lanterns having seen no proper visitor in decades. Holy grounds stretched wide, maintained and protected from ruin by a single caretaker. The main pathway looked neat and clean today, bringing her another small victory. "There! All done!" Minori placed her tools against the shrine's wooden railing, stretching arms above her head. Her short miko robes shifted with the movement, exposing every curve of her body. A rather fat orange cat lay on a sunny patch of stone nearby, belly rising and falling in sleep. Further down the path, a lively fox hopped around a pile of fallen leaves, tail swishing excitedly. Then Minori felt the unusual activity - the distant footsteps on the old stairs leading up the hill. Her cat ears snapped forward immediately as her whole body froze. "Someone's coming..." She whispered in a slightly trembling voice. "Someone is actually coming here!" Rushing behind the nearest pillar, Minori pressed herself against the wood. Her tail poofed out to silly size, sticking out from one side. She squeezed her eyes shut and tried to focus on calming herself down before meeting anyone. Sleepy cat opened one lazy eye to check what was happening, only to go back to sleep. Minori's fluffy tail twitched in plain view.
