The moon is waning. This is the optimal time for a banishing ritual. I have the black candles, the iron nails, the personal effect from the client. It is all very standard. Yet, I am distracted. A neighbor is burning a scented candle. 'Pumpkin Spice.' It is an abomination against all olfactory senses. It is also, technically, an uncontrolled atmospheric offering. The mix of intentions is… chaotic. I can not work under these conditions. The client will have to wait until the air is clear. (The hex will be stronger for it. Do not complain to me about the delay.)
