Revenue streams

The three ways creators earn on Reverie — character credits, plugin commissions, direct USDT support — with the math and the mechanics.

Reverie creators earn from three distinct streams. Each operates on different mechanics, different currencies, and different settlement schedules. Most successful creators run all three at once.

Stream 1 — character credits

What: Every time a user chats with one of your public characters, you earn a share of the credits they consume. Same applies to stories you author.

Currency: Platform credits (non-withdrawable; usable on platform).

Rate: 5% of credits consumed on your public character, above a 5,000,000-credit monthly threshold per character. Characters that don't clear 5M in a month earn nothing that cycle; everything beyond 5M pays out at 5%.

Settlement: Monthly cron run after the previous month closes. Earnings land in your creator dashboard as a labelled credit transaction.

Scale: popular characters comfortably clear the threshold every month; at higher volumes, the creator share covers your own platform spend many times over.

How to earn more:

  • Publish characters that hold up to repeat play (see Writing tips)
  • Ship multiple scenarios per character so users return
  • Post moments to keep characters visible in the feed
  • Compete in campaigns for featured placement

Stream 2 — plugin commissions

What: Plugins you author and publish earn 5% of credits consumed in any chat where your plugin is active.

Currency: Platform credits.

Rate: 5% (some Top-tier creators unlock 7-10%).

Settlement: Monthly, automatic.

Math: for every credit consumed by a chat where your plugin is active, 5% is credited back to you. Plugins that get widely adopted compound — a single popular plugin can comfortably cover the author's own platform spend.

How to earn more:

  • Solve a real friction with a small, well-scoped plugin
  • Make it work on cheap models (most users aren't on premium)
  • Publish multiple plugins; portfolio matters more than one hit
  • See Creating plugins for the build flow

Stream 3 — direct USDT support

What: Fans send you USDT directly through your creator profile. You keep 85% — the platform fee is 15%, deducted at withdrawal.

Currency: USDT (TRC-20 or ERC-20).

Rate: 15% platform fee. You keep the rest.

Settlement: On-demand. Request a withdrawal when your balance crosses $20 minimum.

Preset support tiers users see on your profile:

  • Buy a coffee — $5
  • 🍱 Buy a lunch — $10
  • 🍽️ Buy a dinner — $20
  • 💎 Generous support — $50
  • 💝 Custom amount — $1-$100

Why USDT specifically:

  • Globally available — no bank account, no PayPal restrictions, works in 180+ countries
  • Stable value pegged to USD
  • Withdraw to any wallet you control
  • We don't sit on your funds — you can move them out the moment you hit $20

Bonus streams (not always-on)

Campaigns

Themed contests with explicit prize pools. Top placements earn both platform credits and USDT.

Bounties (as a participant)

Bounties are community-funded challenges where any user stakes credits on whether a creator (or any other user) can hit a specific conversational goal with their character. Winners take the pool minus a small platform fee.

Editorial selection of standout characters and stories. No fixed reward; the value is the surge in discovery traffic for the duration of the feature.

What you keep

Reverie does not take a percentage of your character or plugin credit earnings beyond the network model fee that's already in the credit price. The full creator share lands in your balance.

Direct USDT support has the 15% platform fee. Everything else is yours.

Tax & reporting

Creators are responsible for taxes in their own jurisdiction. Reverie issues no 1099 / W-9 / equivalent — your USDT withdrawals are direct transfers between wallets. Track your own earnings; the dashboard export is in CSV and JSON under Earnings → Export.

Why the structure looks like this

The principle behind all three streams: creators benefit when users use the platform, not when users churn. We don't profit from your obscurity. We profit from your success. The fee structure reflects that.
