Referrals
Share your link; when people you refer buy credits, you earn a percentage commission. Settings → Referrals.
Your personal referral link is at Settings → Referrals. Share it; when someone signs up through it, you join a commission relationship — every credit pack or subscription they buy in the eligible window pays you a percentage in credits.
How it pays
| You earn | When |
|---|---|
| Percentage commission in credits | On every credit pack or subscription your referee buys within their eligible window |
Commissions land in your credit balance automatically when the underlying transaction settles.
The commission rate and the eligible window are tuned over time. The current values are visible on Settings → Referrals, which is the authoritative source.
A sign-up bonus for both parties exists in the system but has been zeroed out from time to time during abuse spikes. The page surfaces the current state.
Where to share the link
The link is a https://reverie.im/r/<your-code> URL. It works anywhere:
- Discord / Slack — paste in a chat
- Social media — Twitter/X, TikTok, Instagram
- Personal blog or video description
- Direct DM to a friend
- In your Reverie creator announcements (if you're a creator)
The link is attributed via cookie (so the friend can browse first, then sign up later), and pinned to your account permanently once they actually sign up.
What counts as a referral
Anyone who:
- Lands on Reverie via your link (and hasn't already had a prior session)
- Signs up and verifies their email
- Doesn't trigger fraud signals (see below)
What doesn't count
- Existing users who clicked your link (only new sign-ups)
- Sign-ups from countries with restricted payment (no payment, no commission)
- Accounts flagged for fraud (multi-accounting, shared device fingerprints, etc.)
- Friends-of-friends — only direct referrals; no multi-level
Fraud detection
Because referral systems get gamed, we run automated fraud detection on:
- Device fingerprints
- IP overlap
- Sign-up timing patterns
- Unusual purchase velocity
If a referee's signup gets flagged, commission is held until manually reviewed. Real-world friends with the same household IP usually get auto-cleared after first verification.
Withdrawal vs. commission
Referral commission lands as platform credits — same currency as your character / plugin earnings. It's not USDT, so you can't withdraw it directly. Use it on the platform or convert via the credits → USDT path (currently in private beta).
Tracking your referrals
Settings → Referrals → Stats.
Shows:
- Total referrals (signed up via your link)
- Active in last 30 days
- Total commission earned
- Per-referee breakdown with their (anonymous) purchase activity
You don't see emails or names — only username and rough activity.
Best ways to share
- Tell people who already use AI characters. Conversion is dramatically higher among "AI curious" audiences than cold leads.
- Share what you actually love. A genuine post about a specific character converts better than a bare link.
- In creator announcements (if you're a creator) — direct your audience to sign up.
- Don't spam. Reverie may de-prioritise your link in discovery if it shows up via spam-flagged channels.
When does commission stop
- At the end of the eligible window (surfaced on your referrals page)
- If the referee account gets suspended or deleted
- If the referee disputes a transaction (chargeback reverses commission)
