Reports & appeals

Track a report you filed, and contest a moderation decision made about your own content.

Settings → Reports & Appeals has two tabs: My Reports, everything you have reported about somebody else's content, and Appeals, everything you have contested about your own.

Filing a report

The Report control appears on a character's page, on a plugin card, on a creator's profile and on a community snapshot posted to a character's wall. You have to be signed in.

The dialog asks for two things: a Report Reason, and Additional Details of 10 to 2,000 characters. The reasons offered depend on what you are reporting.

Open reports on the same target1 — a second is rejected while the first is pending

Going over a rate limit returns an error asking you to try again later. Nothing is filed, so come back and submit it again once the window passes.

Reports that keep getting dismissed put your own account at risk. Three rejected reports inside a seven-day window earn a formal warning; carry on after that and the next steps are a 3-day and then a 7-day suspension of the account itself. They are never permanent, and one batch of dismissals counts as a single strike rather than several — but read the community guidelines before reporting something you merely dislike.

Reports are not anonymous to the moderation team — they need to know who reported what, to catch abuse of the system — but the person you reported never sees who filed it.

Following a report

My Reports lists what you filed, filterable by status and by content type.

Status shownMeaning
ProcessingFiled, not yet decided.
ResolvedA decision was made and an action taken.
DismissedThe report was not upheld.
AppealingThe owner of the reported content has contested the outcome.

Behind that, a report is triaged automatically and then read by a person. Only three kinds of claim — wrong rating, explicit content and spam — can be closed automatically when the check is confident; everything else waits for a human, even when the automated pass thinks the allegation is unsupported. Several reports against the same target raise its priority, and minor-safety reports jump the queue.

Appealing a decision about your content

If a moderation action hits something you own, you can contest it. Every outcome arrives as a notification in the bell's Important tab, and the appeal is filed from Settings → Reports & Appeals.

RuleDetail
Who may appealOnly the owner of the content that was acted on.
What is appealableOnly reports with a final outcome against your content. A dismissed report isn't appealable — nothing was done to you. A report still being reviewed has no outcome yet.
How manyOne appeal per report, ever.
What to writeAt least 10 characters explaining why the decision was wrong.

You get one attempt. There is no second appeal on the same report, so put the full explanation in the first one. Filing it moves the report to Appealing and puts it in front of the team again.

An appeal ends in one of three states: Under review, Decision upheld, or Approved. A reviewer note may be attached, and the result also arrives as a notification.

Suspended accounts

An account restriction is a different track. A suspended account can't sign in; the sign-in screen names the reason and, when the restriction is temporary, the date it ends, along with the support address to write to. There is no in-app appeal form for a suspension, because there is no session to open it with.
