Campaigns

Themed contests: eligibility, submission, voting and rewards.

A campaign is a time-limited themed contest created by Reverie. Approved creators enter their own public characters or stories, entries are reviewed, sometimes voted on, and ranked entries are paid in platform credits. Campaigns are created by admins only — creators enter them, they do not run them.

Find them at Campaigns in the main menu. Each campaign page has Introduction, Rules, Rewards and Entries tabs, and that page is the source of truth for its dates, eligibility and reward tiers.

Lifecycle

PhaseWhat it means
UpcomingAnnounced, not yet open
ActiveAccepting submissions, between the start and end dates
JudgingClosed to new entries, results not yet announced
CompletedResults announced and rewards settled

The phase is derived from the campaign's own dates and whether results have been announced, and is refreshed hourly. Submissions are only accepted while a campaign is both published and active.

Who can enter

  • You must be an approved creator.
  • You may only submit your own works.
  • The work must be public. Drafts, unlisted and private works cannot be entered.
  • A campaign accepts characters, stories, or both.

A campaign can also set its own requirements: character age range, allowed genders, required tags or categories, a minimum description length, whether NSFW is allowed, a minimum creator account age, or verified-creator status. Story campaigns can additionally require tags, categories, a minimum bio length or a minimum number of chapters.

The submission picker shows ineligible works with the reason instead of hiding them.

Submitting

Read the campaign page

Eligibility, deadlines, the voting rules and the exact reward tiers are all on it. Most disqualifications are a missed requirement, not a judgement call.

Pick your works

You can select up to 20 works in one submission, and a campaign may also cap how many entries one creator may have in total — anywhere from 1 to 100. Duplicates in the same submission are refused.

Add a note to reviewers

Optional, up to 200 characters. Use it to say how the work fits the theme.

Submit

The whole selection is submitted atomically: either every selected work is accepted, or none of them is.

Review and voting

Entries land as pending and are approved or rejected by reviewers, unless the campaign approves entries automatically. A full snapshot of the work is stored at submission; if an approved work later changes materially, it returns to the review queue, and the snapshot stays part of campaign history even if you edit or remove the live work afterwards.

When voting is enabled:

  • Any signed-in user can vote, on approved entries only.
  • One vote per entry per person, and a person may vote for several entries.
  • You cannot vote for your own entry.
  • Voting runs from the campaign start until the voting deadline, and closes for good once results are announced.

Votes are one input to ranking, not the ranking itself. Reviewers can also weigh fit with the theme, the quality of the work, activity the entry gained after submission, and any judging criteria the campaign states.

Rewards

Campaign rewards are platform credits. A reward tier is a rank range, a label and a credit amount. A campaign can define up to 20 tiers, they may not overlap, and each tier is worth between 1 and 1,000,000 credits.

Results can only be announced after the end date and the voting cutoff, every ranked entry must be covered by a tier, and payout is refused outright if it is not — so a rank can never be announced without its reward defined.

Do not assume cash, cryptocurrency, badges, featured placement or a spotlight. None of those are things a campaign can award. A campaign with no credit tiers may still rank winners under the label External reward, which means the organiser settles something by hand and the campaign page has to say what.

Entrants get an in-app notification once rewards have settled. Each of your entries also shows the conversations or plays and the views it gained since you submitted it.

Withdrawing an entry

You can withdraw an entry while it is pending or after it was rejected, and at any time if the campaign is cancelled. You cannot withdraw an approved entry once the campaign has moved into judging or completed, and an entry that has been rewarded can never be withdrawn.
