Collections

Themed shelves of characters and stories, assembled by the Reverie team — where to find them and how they behave.

A collection is a hand-picked shelf: a cover, an editor's note, and a set of characters and stories chosen around one theme. Collections are put together by the Reverie team. You cannot create one, and there is nothing to follow — you browse them, open a pick, and share the ones you like.

Where you find them

SurfaceWhat you get
Curated collections rail on HomeUp to four cards, each previewing up to eight picks
Above the character grid on the public siteThe same rail
Collections directoryEvery collection, including ones no longer being promoted
A collection's own pageThe full shelf, at a permanent link

See all on the rail opens the directory. The rail refreshes about once a minute and again when you come back to the tab, so it changes under you without a reload. A collection with fewer than three visible picks is left off the rail entirely.

What is on a collection page

  • The cover, the title, and the item count.
  • Editor's note — why these things are together.
  • Featured pick — one item pulled out of the shelf.
  • Featured picks — the rest, split into Characters and Stories.
  • Open on any pick takes you to that character or story.

Each pick is exactly one character or one story, and a shelf holds up to 40 of them. When a work is deleted, its pick disappears from the shelf rather than becoming a dead tile. An empty shelf says Nothing here yet — check back soon.

Ratings, audiences and what you see

Every collection is single-rated: it is either an all-ages shelf or an 18+ shelf, never a mix. A pick whose rating stops matching the shelf drops out of the public version automatically, so a creator re-rating their own character cannot turn a safe shelf into mixed content. Picks that go private drop out the same way.

Shelves can also be aimed at an audience, so the gender preference you set alongside the content filter changes which ones appear on the rails and in the directory. Two people on the same day see different shelves.

A collection's own page has no age gate. The filtering happens on the discovery surfaces, so a direct link to an 18+ shelf renders it as curated for whoever opens it. Consider that before you share one.

Promotion versus permanence

A collection appears when its run starts. When its promotion window ends it leaves the rail, but it does not disappear: its page keeps working and it stays in the directory. Links you shared months ago still resolve.

Sharing one

Share collection builds a poster and a link. The link is always the public address for that collection, never an in-app URL, so it works for people who are not signed in. The poster uses the editorial cover when there is one, otherwise the first four pick images, and carries a QR code labelled Scan to explore. An 18+ shelf has its share text prefixed with 18+ · NSFW.

If you are a creator

There is no submission form. Collections are assembled editorially, so the way in is to have work worth picking. When one of your characters or stories is chosen you get a notification, and that collection then appears in your creator analytics with its own click and chat-start counts.
